Happy St. Paddy's Day

We started the day at the OC Swap Meet. We were all decked out in our green, so we got in for FREE! We needed to pick up a new suitcase for our trip to Ireland that is coming up on the 1st of April. When we were all shopped out and we had our polka dot suitcase in tow, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's. Gma decided to make rueban sandwiches for the special day instead of the same ol' corned beef and cabbage. Let me tell you, we were glad she did. We played a game of Monopoly, and then came home. We had a great day, and that night Aidan slept through the night. He fell asleep for the night at 11:30, and woke up for his next feeding at 6am, WOW! Mama was certainly happy. He is doing so well and growing so quickly. He is starting to be awake more now, so I have been experimenting with things to do. His new thing is tummy time on the boppy, he likes that for about 5 minutes. Then we try the swing, the bouncy chair, the gym, the stroller, and the baby bjiorn. If all else fails all we have to do is change his diaper. He loves being on his changing table!

Shopping and Talking

We went to the Spectrum in Irvine and just had a great day walking around and doing a little shopping. It was a beautiful day, and Aidan loved looking at the ferris wheel while we sat outside eating frozen yogurt (he had formula, yum.)

We snapped this picture while Trevor and I were both playing with Aidan on the floor. What a happy boy. We are so proud of our little guy. Here's a couple more pics for your enjoyment.

Aidan fell asleep in his car seat on the way home from Gpa and Gma's house and not wanting to risk wking him up I thought this was a great idea. It worked! He slept well for the rest of the night.

Our Genius Child

Last night Trevor was talking to Aidan, saying "Hello" with his tone going from high to low. All of a sudden Aidan started mimicking the tones of Trevor's voice. It was so funny. At one point Aidan even sounded like he was saying "Hello!" We laughed so hard.

Now that Aidan is 2 months, his little personality is starting to show and we are loving it. He is talking more and more, and responds to us with a smile, especially when he is getting his diaper changed. He loves that. 2 Month Check-Up

Aidan is now 8 weeks old. We went to his 2 month check up this morning and the Dr. said he is doing great. He is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight, 11 lbs 14oz, and 24" long. He also got 4 immunizations this morning, 3 of them were shots. He did not like them AT ALL! I didn't watch, I was kissing his little face the whole time.

He is sleeping well and eating well. He will usually do one long stretch at night, 6 hours from one feeding to the next and will usually go back to sleep after that. Last night though he wasted to be held so much that at 5 in the morning Trevor picked him up after he cried for a while and put him in bed with us. He liked that and fell back to sleep. I had to wake him up to leave for our Drs appointment. We LOVE sleeping with him in the morning. He is so sweet. Here are some more recent pics of him. Enjoy.
