Growing by Leaps and Bounds

Aidan and I are still waiting for Trevor to come home from the last trip of the season. Boy do we miss him. However, it has been fun staying with Grandma and Grandpa. While Trevor has been away this summer, Aidan has started eating solid food (prefering it over the bottle in many cases), making funny faces all the time, and he is so close to crawling. I hope he holds off to really do this until Trevor gets home on Sunday. Here are some pics of Aidan in the morning. While we were enjoying our coffee, Aidan was working really hard on his crawling skills.

Aidan has been making this face all the time. We call it "The Scrunchy Face."

Reeeeeeach!

Aidan has this little mesh thing that we can put fresh food in and he can suck on it and chew on it. he has banana in it this morning. Yummy and MESSY.

Staying with Gpa and Gma

Trevor and I moved out of our house on July 19th. We are storing our stuff in Ione until camp is done and we can move up. While Trevor is out with Camp High Places for 2 weeks, Aidan and I are staying at Mom and Dad's house. We are having a lot of fun, and cherishing these times we have together before we move up north.

More of Julie, Amy and Aidan's California Adventure

After stopping off at Nathan and Kristi's for 2 nights, we headed home. We knew we couldn't make it all the way from Ione to home in one day so we hit for Visalia. There is a cute downtown area with great shops and a nice hotel. We had so much fun shopping and swimming in the pool we decided to stay 2 nights.

Stolling and shopping downtown.

Aidan's first swim. He loved it so much. Splashing and playing so hard. He had a big smile on his face the whole time. We have a waterdog on our hands.

Aidan had a tough time staying asleep in these different places we were staying so he slept with me in my bed everywhere we stayed. He is so fun to cuddle with, but he sure takes up a lot of space for such a little thing.

Pics from our trip with Camp High Places

These are some of the pics from our trip to San Francisco. We made it up to Half Moon Bay to meet up with the campers and Trevor one day after we thought we would. Aidan does not like the car. So we had fun taking our time.

Ok, I'm ready to go!

We stopped at a flower nursery that also had some animals and little fun things to look at. We were the only ones there, so we snapped some great pics.

In Gilroy, we stopped and spent a night at the Super 8. Aidan just couldn't go any further that night. Here we are enjoying the outdoors before bath and bedtime.

Walking around San Fransisco. Aidan did so well with all the Hubbub. He took naps in his stroller and on Grandma wen we took a Trolly tour. He loved the big city!

The camp director. He is one handsome Irishman.

So much to write, so little time

So, TONS has happened since my last blog.

Trevor first: He had his last day of school at Sowers Middle School. It is a little sad to be leaving that school. They served Trevor well and he felt like he didn't have much time to really make a difference there. I am sure many parents and kids do not feel that way. When he left many of them were so thankful to Trevor for making math interesting and fun.

He also started off on Camp High Places California Adventure Tour #1. He left June 29 in our new Suburban and Dad's truck packed to the gills, and our three amazing staff members. All from the Midwest. ON WISCONSIN! He will be back this Sunday just in time for our friends Heather and Dane's wedding. Check out the blog at http://catoursession2.blogspot.com/ for all the info. They are having tons of fun!

Now Amy: I said goodbye to Evangelical Free Church Huntington Beach on June 24. It was a sad parting, but we all know this is a step forward. We had a great time at the Going Away picnic, and had a chance to thank all the people that served with me. I couldn't have done so much or learned so much without the help I had.

Aidan and I, and Mom drove north to meet up with Trevor and the Kids in Half Moon Bay. We really made a vacation out of it by taking our sweet time and of course stopping at almost every Outlet Center along the way. Aidan didn't like the car so much so we had to make a lot of stops and stay over in places we had not planned. We also went to stay with Nathan and Kristi and the kids for a day and had a great time. It is so much fun to have seen all the kids together. We will be able to have that a lot very soon.

And finally the man himself, Aidan: not only did he go on "The Great Outlet Adventure of 2007" with Mom and I, he also had his 6 month check up. I am amazed with all he has done in the past 2 months. He now rolls all over the floor. He has 2 teeth. And he mimics the word "Hi" to you when he is in an especially good mood. He did it yesterday for the ladies in the pharmacy. They were floored, and they kept trying to get him to say more. Unfortunately at 6 mos, even "Hi" is a lot to ask. I also started him on solid food. He eats rice cereal mixed with bananas and sweet potatoes. He doesn't really like the cereal by itself, so I mix it with the sweet potato. He really keeps us laughing with all the funny things he does. He loves to bounce in his exersaucer and roll. He also likes to laugh, big belly laughs. Trevor and I are so proud of him! He is just growing and changing perfectly. Oh, he is in the 75% for height, weight and head circumference. Not too big, not too small, just right.

Stay posted for the pictures of all this stuff to come. I don' t have my computer, so I will have to post them after Saturday.

Love you all!
