Movin' On Up...

...to Ione, Ca. After 3 years of living at 9687 Durham Drive, we have decided to load the wagons and head up to the open range. Quite literally. We have decided that in order for me to be able to stay home with Aidan and have a little more breathing room, we need to move up to where my brother and sister-in-law live. We have our house on the market, and would like to move by mid July. I have put in my notice with the church and Sunday June 24th is going to be my last day leading worship. We have our sites on a few different homes in Lake Camanche Village where Nathan and Kristi live, and are hoping they are not all purchased by the time we sell our house. We will keep you all updated on our whereabouts and how things are going. Please keep us in your prayers though, this is going to be a big change for us and possibly quite stressful.

Enjoying the Beautiful Evening

Learning and Playing

He loves playing in his high chair while I cook dinner.

I am totally embarassed to show this picture but I thought it was so funny. He's watching Praise Baby. It is like Baby Einstein but with praise songs.

Aidan's New Cousin

Eliot (Eli) Nathan Traxler was born 9:43 am on Saturday Morning. He weighed 7lbs 12oz and measured 20 1/2 in. long. He is very healthy and Kristi is doing GREAT! I talked to my parents on the phone this morning and Mom said you would never even think that Kristi is recovering from a C-Section. Aidan slept through the entire meeting, so they will have to be reintroduced.

We had a great time visiting with the Traxler's before Baby Eli was born. Here are some pictures from our time on "Traxler Ranch".

Chloe, helping Uncle Trevor give Aidan a bath.

Chloe giving Aidan a kiss. She loves him so much!

Dinner with the whole Fam the night before Eli came.

The Bumbo Seat

For those of you who have never seen one of these little seats, it allows our little guy to be able to sit up on his own. I call it a "pod", very sci-fi. He really likes it because it allows him to sit up like a big boy and play with his toys. Isn't he getting big?

Aidan's Dedication

This last Sunday Trevor and I had Aidan dedicated in our church. For those who are not familiar with a dedication, it is a statement to Aidan, God, Us and our Church family that we will raise Aidan in a Christain home and bring him up to know and love the Lord. A lot of children were dedicated along with him. The whole family came to see him. We had a great day. We followed the dedication with a brunch at the clubhouse where we live. All in all we had a great day, and I had a wonderful first Mother's Day.

4 Months Old

Aidan is now 4 months and we have passed a couple of milestones. When we went to the Dr's office for his checkup and shots we found out that he is in the 95% for height and 70% for weight. The nurse actually came back into our room to remeasure his head circumfrance and weight. He great A LOT these past 2 months and wanted to make sure she didn't make a mistake! He has grown out of his 6 month clothes last week, even though I had just put them on him the week before. He has not yet roled over but is so close. He grabs onto things and laughs hard when we sing "Hello Dolly" and play Peek-a-Boo. He is so fun and I love that he is my little buddy.

Exersaucer

Kevin and Mary and the kids bought this as a thank you gift for allowing them to stay in our house while we were in Ireland. I just put him in it for the first time and he laughed so hard at all the little toys. He is still a little small for it so I wrap a blanket around him to help prop him up. He is still not too sure about it so I can only leave him in for about five minutes. Boy, does he love those five minutes!

Bougainvillea

This hot weather has been perfect for my garden. My recipe for perfect bougainvillea is dry hot weather and heaps of neglect.

We lit a fire in the pit the other night. Aidan loved staring at it. So relaxing.

Swingin in the backyard

It has been so beautiful here lately that we have been eating outside and just hanging out in the backyard after dinner. We have this little camp hammock and Aidan loves swinging with us on it.

More Pics from our Visit with Chloe

Chloe loves to copy what everyone does. This was so cute.
Getting to know each other.
The kids on Chloe's Birthday
Takin' a break from all the hard playing. What a challenge Mom and I had putting those french braids in. They sure look cute though.

My First Visit to see Uncle Nathan, Auntie Kristi and Chloe

Aidan and I (Amy) hopped in the car last Thursday and drove the long 7 1/2 hours to see Nate and Kristi and Chloe in Ione, CA. Aidan did so well on the trip up there and back. It was so nice to be able to see Chloe on her 2nd birthday and introduce the cousins to each other. Chloe loved playing with anything that Aidan had to play with. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Auntie Kristi and the big boy.
Aidan is almost ready to roll over. He gets on his side like this all the time.
Chloe loved playing in the gym with Aidan.
Grandpa bought Chloe a fishing pole for her birthday. Here they are heading down to the bass pond to break it in.
Oh, a life in the country!
