Watching TV with Daddy and playtime

On the last day of tax season, Mom and Dad were walking around the mall with Aidan, and Dad could not pass up the New Balance store where they were selling these little shoes. We couldn't pass up this picture.

Last Day of Tax Season 2007!

Dad rented a limo to pick us all up at the office at 5pm.
We hopped in and headed to Sounth Coast Plaza where
he gave all his girls: Erin, Silvia, Erica, and me (Amy) a gift
certificate so we could treat ourselves to something
special. Dad and Mom took care of the baby and after
2 hours when we were done shopping we met them for
dinner at Wahoo's to show off our purchases. In my opinion
this was the best end of tax season EVER!

The Traxler and Associates Girls

What a beautiful and supportive wife.
Not only did she take care of Aidan so I could help
in the office, she would make meals for
the entire office. Dad couldn't do it without her.

A tradition for over 22 years, Dad is dropping the
extensions in the mail bag at the Santa Ana post office.
The police and mail workers were cracking up as we
drove through in the limo.

Aidan Goes to Ireland

So you are probably wondering why it has been so long since my last post. It just so happens that we have just been a little busy. On Palm Sunday we headed out on Aidan's first Ireland adventure. We took a 10 hour plane ride to London Heathrow and after a 2 mile walk to get to the right terminal we took off for another 1 hour flight landing us in Dublin and meeting Ganny Doyle for the first time. Aidan did very well on the flight. I did walk and bounce him around the business class lavatories, but he did settle down and had a great sleep. We sat in the bulkhead seats where we had a bassinet provided by the airline to let him sleep in. It connects to the wall and was pretty much a life saver. If we didn't have that we would have had to hold him for 10 hours straight.

We had a wonderful time meeting the family. We traveled to Newgrange, which is a 10,000 year old ancient stone structure that on the winter solstice it is perfectly aligned so that the inner chamber lights up. We do not know what it was built for, but we do know that it took some calculation and knowledge of the earth, sun and moon to create. We also did some shopping in Navan and traveled to the Hills of Tara where St. Patrick converted many Irish to Christianity and Trim Castle where Braveheart was filmed. Aidan went to all these places with us. Happy as a little lamb in his Baby Bjiorn.

Aidan loved meeting Ganny D, Grandad (Jim), Aunties, Uncles, and cousins. Uncle Neil and Aunt Siobhan had a stroller, car seat, and bed all ready for us. They also gave us 2 huge bags of clothes that Andy (9 months) has grown out of or never wore. We received a great welcome and had an amazing time getting to know the ever growing Doyle Clan. Thanks to Ma and Dad Doyle for the trip!

Here are pictures of the Irish Adventure:

knows what they mean.

no problem!

There will be more pictures of the trip to follow. I didn't have time to put them on in one go. We did have a great time, and Mommy and Daddy are so proud of their little international traveler.
